The Asian Institute of Aviation (AIA), as a premier flight training school, is respondingto the challenge of producing world-class, professional pilots. AIA is majority-owned by Planters Products Inc. (PPI), a well-established Philippine company operating for over 50 years now. PPI’s roots go way back 1963, as a iltinational corporation called ESSO Standard Fertilizer and Agricultural Chemical Company. In 1970, it was purchased by the country’s largest cooperative of sugar planters, the Sugar Producers Cooperative Marketing Association, and renamed Planters Products, Inc. Aside from PPI’s significant contribution in Philippine agriculture, the company also owns aircrafts and leases a hangar in the Manila General Aviation Area. AIA is also an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) with License Number 114-12, duly certified by the Civil Aviation of the Philippines (CAAP) to inspect, maintain and repair aircraft Airframe, Power Plant and Propellers. As one of the most reputable maintenance organization in the Philippines, AIA houses factory-trained aircraft mechanics and is relied on by general aviation companies amd individual operators for their aircrafts’ periodical check, repairs and engine overhauls.
